Rachel & Ryan

October 25, 2008

Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.

Rachel had her hair done at EdgeZ Salon in an up do with two white flowers pinned in back. Rachel then headed to Rico's to have her make-up done. Rachel & Ryan's colors were a mix of fall colors. The flowers were done by Dillon's with a mix of deep yellow roses with dark red edges, orange lilies and berries. The pew bows included pheasant feathers and silk maple leaves.

Rachel wore the same pearl necklace and garter that her Mom wore at her wedding. The candlelight ceremony was held at Riverlawn Christian Church. After the ceremony, the couple exited the church to a shower of rose petals. Then, we headed to Oak Park with the couple and wedding party for some outdoor fall shots before heading to Corporate Caterers for the reception.

Rachel & Ryan's wedding cake was a beautiful four tiered cake with each layer being a different fall color with white piping and topped with a mixed flower arrangement. The groom's cake was in the shape of a wave runner with a "Just Married" tag on the back.

Even though Rachel & Ryan work for the same hospital, these two never would've met if it weren't for the help of an online dating service. It just goes to show you that they really can work and people really do find true love. Just take one look at Rachel & Ryan and you'll see proof of that.

Rachel & Ryan, it was such a pleasure getting to witness your day and your love.

Congratulations!
Cheryl & Brett

Kim & Joe

Oct. 18, 2008

Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.

Kim started the day with her sisters, Joe's sisters and both of their mom's getting thier hair done at Spalon and then headed to the Church of the Magdalen to finish getting ready. Kim & Joe's colors were pink and blue with burgandy accents. Most of the flowers were done by the Flower Factory and included roses, lilies, and stephanotis. The rest of the flowers and decorations were done by Joe's step-mom.

Kim wore a beautiful square diamond necklace and earrings that were gifts from Joe. Her something blue was her Grandma's rosary, and her something borrowed was her other Grandmother's wedding ring. Kim's two nieces were the flower girls and Joe's two nephews were the ring beareres. The ceremony went off without a hitch with Fr. York giving the couple some great words of wisdom. After the ceremony, we headed to the Nature Center and Bradley Fair for some outdoor shots with the couple and wedding party.

After the couple was announced into the reception by DJ Mark Mazur at the Beech Activity Center, they were surprised by their family with a video. After dinner and the traditional cake cutting and toasts, Kim surprised everyone by giving the toss bouquet to her mother, with the most touching speech, instead of the tradition bouquet toss. It was one of the sweetest, most touching moments that we've been honored to witness and I don't think there were many dry eyes after Kim's speech and her cousin's song to their Grandpa.

Kim & Joe, thank you for letting us document your day, we had a great time sharing in your day.

Thanks again,
Cheryl & Brett

Alesha & Ryan Martin

October 4, 2008

Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.

Alesha started her wedding day early at Charisma salon where she works with her friends/co-workers doing all the girls' hair and make-up. Once they were ready, we traveled to St. Peter's Church in Schulte, Ks. Alesha & Ryan's colors were black and hot pink, the bridesmaids wore black gowns and carried bouquets of hot pink roses with rhinestone insets done by Susan's Flowers.

Just after Alesha was ready, Ryan's wedding gift to her arrived - it was a beautifully delicate silver bracelet with diamonds and light blue stones for her something blue. Alesha & Ryan chose to see each other before the ceremony giving us plenty of time for the formal pictures with the families and wedding party. They had also planned to take some outdoor shots after their nuptial mass but, unfortunately the strong Kansas winds kept us from being able to do much outside.

After being pronounced as husband and wife by Fr. Andy Kuykendall, Alesha & Ryan headed across the parking lot to the reception at the school. Alesha, her mom, friends and other family members did a great job decorating the reception area with black and white table clothes and tons of vases of hot pink roses and candles. They also set up a coloring table for the kids and a candy bar which was a huge hit with all the kids - big & little.

Dinner was catered by Syl's and served in time for guests to attend Sat. evening mass before the dance began. After the formal dances, it was time for the garter and bouquet tosses. I have to say this was definately a first for us to witness - there were so many kids around the dance floor to watch the tosses that a little boy ended up catching the bouquet which was hilarious! But, what made it even better was that his sister ended up catching the garter - LOL!

Alesha & Ryan, it was a lot of fun for us to document your day. We appreciated the generosity of you and your families - they were all so wonderful to us and made us feel so welcomed. Our wish for you is that you continue with the example your parents have shown you "to laugh, love and appreciate all life has to offer."

Thanks again & God Bless,
Cheryl & Brett

Chris And Kristin

Sept. 27, 2008

Click Here to view the Debut Trailer of the wedding day.

We started the day very early making our way to Huchinson by 6:00 am to meet Kristin at O'Hairas salon where she and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and make-up done. Kristin was so excited that she didn't need any coffee to stay wide awake despite the early start. When someone asked her why she chose to have a morning wedding, she said it was because brunch was her favorite meal of the day and she wanted to have a brunch reception. While the girls were getting ready, Brett met the guys at Starbucks for breakfast & coffee. Chris was just as excited as Kristin and don't think he stopped smiling the entire day. Kristin's aunts and uncle had made and set up a wonderful breakfast buffet for the wedding party and family since they had to be at the church so early for pictures that was very much appreciated by all.

Kristin & Chris chose not to see each other before the ceremony but were able to send their wedding gifts to each other. Kristin's was a gratitude journal that she had been writing all the reasons she's grateful for Chris for the last few years. And Chris gave Kristin a large wooden jewelry box with a pair of diamond earrings. As beautiful as they were, it was the rest of the things he put in the box that made it so special - a note, picture and menu from their favorite restaurant.

The wedding was at Emanuel Lutheran Church and it was decorated beautifully with candelabras lining the aisle with two small glass bulbs filled with flowers hanging down and tied with ribbon. As beautiful as everything was from the flowers to the dresses, it was the music that made their ceremony so unique and special. Chris's sister Jeanne, brother-in-law Michael and their friend Rob were the most incredible musicians with a variety of instruments including the flute, keyboards, acoustic guitar, hammered dulcimer, marimba and bodhran (which is an Irish drum). Instead of the traditional procession, Kristin entered to "Come Thou Fount" b y Sara Groves. But, my most favorites song was when Kristin & Chris lit the unity candle to "I Am" by Nichole Nordeman. (If you have a chance to download this song - you'll love it - it's the perfect wedding song!)

After the wedding, we finished taking pictures at the church and then headed to Prairie Dunnes for the reception. The brunch buffet was incredible with the best strawberry cream cheese filled french toast! After the reception, we headed out on the golf course with Chris, Kristin and the wedding party to get some fun, informal shots. Then we headed to Dillon's nature center with Chris & Kristin to finish up with some pictures of the couple. We were so glad Kristin & Chris took the extra time with us to get some great shots that we wouldn't have time for if they hadn't planned it ahead of time. Thank you Kristin & Chris for including us in your day and for making us feel so welcomed. We had a great time documenting your day. We know you'll have a great time in Hawaii so when you get back and have a chance, you'll have to send us a link to your brother's Facebook page so we can check out his pics too. We got a real kick out of his excitement taking pics. We feel the same way when we shoot!

Congrats again & God Bless,
Cheryl & Brett
