Despite the strong southerly winds, we headed south to Clearwater for Jared and Michelle's wedding at the Clearwater United Methodist church. The church had the most beautiful stained glass windows. And the bow lined aisle was the perfect touch to accent all of the flower arrangements made by Carol (Michelle's mom).

All the girls had their hair beautifully done by Jared's mom. Michelle looked incredible in her white wedding gown that was trimmed with "fire truck red". The flower girl's dress matched Michelle's perfectly and the bridesmaids' dresses were red and strapless with matching heels. The men wore black jeans and boots with their formal jackets which were much more comfortable than the traditional pants and shoes. The red theme was a tribute to Jared's job as a Wichita Firefighter. Even Michelle's garters had WFD charms attached. I almost forgot, they had the most original cake topper we've ever seen - a firefighter carrying his beautiful bride. Just like Jared & Michelle!

The ceremony went off without a hitch. After the receiving line, the couple made their way through all the bubbles to the antique fire truck Jared rented for them to ride off into the sunset in. Well, it wasn't actually the sunset yet, but they did head to the reception at the old white barn in Clonmel for the cowboy inspired reception. Michelle put so much effort into all the decorations, they were incredible. The decorations included cowboy boot glasses, bandanas, gold & silver coins, covered wagons, votive holders with "gold nuggets" and small burlap bags full of treasures (including Hershey's "love" kisses and miniature sized playing cards).

After the dance, bouquet toss and garter toss, we headed outside with Jared & Michelle to capture a beautiful Kansas sunset- despite the wind! It was a great day for a wedding with a terrific couple. Jared & Michelle, we wish you all the best - it was a pleasure working with you guys!
