On a warm, sunny, beautiful September day, Tracie & William vowed their love and commitment to each other in front of their family and friends at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church

Tracie, her two sisters and four best friends started the day at First Salon to get their hair done and then to Tracie's parents home to put on the finishing touches and slip into their black dresses with pink sashes. When the bridesmaids were finally ready, they helped Tracie get into her beautiful gown with layered train. Then it was outside for pictures before the Trolley came to take them to the church. On the way, the girls sang to Tracie "We're going to Chapel, and we're going to get married..."

Tracie & Will met in 7th grade and after dating for the last 5 years, they were finally able to say the emotion filled "I do's". After the wedding, the couple and wedding party rode the Trolley to the Airport Hilton for the fun filled reception (after a quick stop at the Sedgwick County Park for a few pics where the newlyweds were able to get a few quite moments together for the first time that day).

As the guests entered the reception hall, there was a bottle of wine for them to sign in lieu of the guestbook. The couple plans on saving the wine for their first anniversary. The couple was finally able to relax and enjoy visiting with their guests before dinner was served.

After a slide show of the couple growing up and then dating, created by Will's father, the guests dined on steak and chicken. Once the bouquet & garter were tossed, the couple had their first dance, the bride danced with her father, and Will danced with his mom. As Will danced with him Mom, his brother told me how much his Mom has been through and with the loss of their brother a few years ago, how much this dance meant not only to Will and their Mom, but their whole family. It was hard to hold back the tears as I tried to capture the moment.

It was such an honor for us to be part of Tracie & Will's special day. Thank you so much Tracie & Will and to both of your families for being so welcoming to us. If I could speak Portuguese, I would quote your sister's toast. So instead, I will just wish you both a very long and happy life together.
