Despite the forecast for rain, the weather held out for Scott & Jen's wedding day and actually turned out to be a perfect fall day for their outdoor wedding. After getting her hair done, Jen, her bridesmaids and brother, Jared, met at Eberly Farms to decorate for the wedding. Jared was Jen's man of honor and even wore a boutonniere with a ribbon that said all boy. And even though Jared supposedly doesn't smile, he was so happy for his only sister that we witnessed quite a few smiles and even captured a few.

The colors for Scott & Jen's wedding were chocolate brown, golden yellow and burgundy. Jen found the German style beer mugs on E-bay that they used for the flower & wheat centerpieces. To add the fall touches around the hall that Jen & Scott wanted, they added leaf shaped candle holders, silk leaves, pumpkins and gourds to each of the tables. It was obvious that Jen had spent a lot of time planning everything down to the smallest detail. Jen along with her bridesmaid, Erin, made all of the flower arrangements and the bouquets with fall flowers and wheat, each one unique. Jen's bouquet was made of brown edged with burgundy and off white hydrangeas with wheat accents and tied with brown and burgundy ribbons. Jen and Erin also stamped and hole punched with leave shapes all of the little cards attached to the M&M party favors for the couple's guests. The biggest hit with family and friends were the three digital frames that the couple displayed showing pictures of each of their childhoods and one of photos of the couple.

After all the special touches were made to the hall and outside for the ceremony, it was finally time for the wedding party to get ready. The girls hid in the ladies bathroom, putting on their make-up and slipping into their chocolate brown two piece halter dresses. After all the girls were ready, they helped Jen get into her strapless gown with chocolate brown ribbon adorned with beading along the top and down the middle of the back accentuating the brown beaded train. Jen's tiara, brown trimmed veil and chocolate rhinestone strap heels added an elegant final touch to her look. Scott calls Jen his goddess and it was obvious he thought she looked like one as she walked down the flower lined staircase toward her waiting groom.

As the wedding started, the guests were surprised by non-traditional wedding music showing Scott & Jen's desire to have their wedding reflect their personalities. The most touching part of the ceremony was the kid parade, when all the children were invited to the front to give Scott & Jen hugs and kisses and wish them much happiness. It was so sweet and obviously meant a lot to Scott & Jen for all the kids to be there and for their wedding to be a true family celebration. As the couple walked down the aisle after being pronounced husband & wife, the guests rang bells tied with brown ribbons. We were able to get a shot of Scott & Jen with all of their wedding guests behind them right after the service. After getting all the family and wedding party shots, it was time for dinner Eberly Farm's style with beef brisket, grilled chicken, pulled pork and all the trimmings.

When everyone was full and the couple had a chance to visit each table and greet their guests, we headed outside for a few shots of the couple just as the sun was setting. While we were outside, Scott & Jen's guests had the chance to sign a special wedding plate with well wishes for the couple. The dance began with another non-traiditonal wedding song that was just perfect for Scott & Jen. The songs they chose for their dances with their parents followed the theme of non-traditional and seemed to be the perfect choice as Jen's dad and Scott's mom both sang along to the songs that the couple had chosen for them.

Scott & Jen, our wish for you is that you always find joy in the little things - just as you stamped on your M&M's. A great reminder to all of us to stop and appreciate the gifts in our lives. Thanks for letting us capture the moments of your day. We're sure you'll have a great time in Hawaii and be able to find the joy in it all.

Thanks again,
cheryl & brett
