Brett started the day meeting the guys at The Alley where they bowled a few lanes and rode go-carts. While Brett was hanging out with the guys, Cheryl met Allison and the girls downtown at The Perfect Touch Salon where Allison's cousin, Kristen, did her hair. Then, we all met back up at the Old Town Courtyard Marriott where everyone was getting ready and we were able to take some pics downtown before heading to the church, Faith Lutheran Church, in Derby, Ks for the wedding.

Throughout the day, Erik had given different friends or family members special photo cards to hand deliver to Allison bringing a huge smile to her face every time she got one. It was one of the sweetest, most thoughtful and romantic things we've had one of our grooms do! (Sorry guys, Erik set the bar pretty high, it's going to be tough to beat!) The last one arrived right before Allison was to walk down the aisle to her anxious groom. Allison kept each one private but, the last one brought a few tears to her eyes.

After the ceremony, we headed to the park with the wedding party and families to take all the "formal pics" since the couple didn't want to take them in the church. While we were taking pictures, the wedding guests headed to the Courtyard Marriott for cocktail hour where they were able to visit and look through photo albums of the couple, including the engagement album we had made for them and one Erik made for Allison that read "Mr. & Mrs." on the front cover. Once the couple made it back to the hotel, they thanked their guests for coming and invited them to join them upstairs for dinner catered by Larkspur. The tables were decorated with pink gerber daisies, children's quotes about love and delicious chocolate truffles handmade by the couple.
At the end of the night, we headed to the fountains in OId Town to take a few fun shots of the couple. Allison wanted to take some shots in the water but, Erik had reservations about it. However, once Erik picked up Allison and ran through the fountains he was smiling from ear to ear.

Allison & Erik, we had such a great time documenting your day especially the fountain shots! Congratulation and have a great time in Jamaica!

We met Megan and the girls at Fringe Salon where Megan's longtime friend Becky did Megan's hair and make-up while the other girls were getting their hair done. Due to the rain, which Megan believes brings good luck on your wedding day, the guys scratched their plans to hang out at All Star Sports. So, we met up with them at the church, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, once the girls were ready. The church looked beautiful and was decorated with ribbons, beads and flowers by Susan's Flowers.

Megan & Nick's color was persimmon and the color was found in all the details from the dresses, flowers, and pew bows to the ribbon tied bubbles. The nuptial mass was celebrated by Fr. Spexarth and two other priest who were all close to the families. The couple exited the church to a sea of bubbles.
The reception was held at the Wichita County Club and before being announced in by DJ Ron Brown with Another Dimension we were able to take some shots of the couple and wedding party out on the golf course.

It was great having the use of the golf carts for the entire wedding party to make taking the outside shots go a lot faster. Megan & Nick used one of their engagement pictures to have glass coasters with their photo as an inset made for the party favors. They were placed on all the tables and of course we loved them.
After the cake was cut, toasts were made, first dances, bouquet & garter tosses were all out of the way, the party was on. It was a great day and a pleasure getting to document it for Megan & Nick. After their long courtship, it's obvious that their day was all they had hoped it would be. It was also great seeing one of our future bride and grooms, Lisa & Justin - see you guys again in a couple of weeks. Congratulations again Megan & Nick and thanks for letting us share your day with you!

Kelsi & Jacob

We left late on the 4th heading north to Sabetha, Kansas for Kelsi & Jacob's wedding. Early the next morning we met Jacob and the guys at the Sabetha Country Club Golf Course where they were going to play a round of golf before heading the the church to get ready.
While the guys were playing golf, Kelsi and the girls were at the church getting their hair and make-up done.

Kelsi & Jacob had chosen the incredibly fun, vibrate and joyful colors of pink and green as their wedding colors and they were in every amazing detail that the couple spent so much time and effort planning everything to the smallest detail. Kelsi had included her signature fun polka dots in many of the details including the bouquet ribbons, wedding cake and hand stenciled signs on the reception tables.

After the lovely ceremony highlighted by a touching video of the couple, every one entered the reception hall at the church through a canopied doorway with stenciling that read "Happy Ever After". Having the reception site at the church made it so easy for us to capture the amazing details. The tables were full of a variety of flower and fruit filled vases, candles and pictures of the couple.

As the reception wound down, we headed back to the Sabetha County Club where the dance was ready to begin. We took a few minutes with the couple and wedding party on the golf course before the couple was announced into the dance. Kelsi & Jacob took a short break from the party to enjoy a fireworks show.

Kelsi & Jacob, it was a pleasure documenting your day and getting to know you guys. Have a great time in St. Lucia!
