KSN Throws a Wedding

We are very excited to announce our most recent news! T&J Studios has been asked by KSN (Channel 3) in Wichita to participate in their latest project, "KSN Throws a Wedding!."

The project has been in the planning stages for several weeks now and we are excited to be a part of this special event for one lucky couple from the KSN viewing area! Starting at the end of July, KSN will be announcing the details of the contest that will run concurrently with the national competition hosted by the Today Show on NBC. We feel very honored to be the exclusive photographers for this event!

Couples who are interested in letting KSN throw them a wedding can learn how to enter to win later this summer. Watch KSN for those details. The station will choose finalists and after a winner is announced, the viewing public gets to help in planning their big day this fall!

By online voting, viewers will choose most everything for the couple, from the tux, to the wedding gown, to the rings, to the cake and honeymoon location! It will definitely be a very exciting time for the lucky couple and we cannot wait to meet whoever that might be! Other area wedding vendors will also be involved from floral design, to wedding and reception venues and entertainment.

T&J Studios role will be capturing the couples memorable day in pictures, from the salon to the party! We hope our blog readers will follow along with all the excitement later this summer as the contest kicks off and we are able to post more information!

Stay tuned to the T&J Studios blog and KSN Channel 3 for more updates as we get closer to the event!

Despite the strong southerly winds, we headed south to Clearwater for Jared and Michelle's wedding at the Clearwater United Methodist church. The church had the most beautiful stained glass windows. And the bow lined aisle was the perfect touch to accent all of the flower arrangements made by Carol (Michelle's mom).

All the girls had their hair beautifully done by Jared's mom. Michelle looked incredible in her white wedding gown that was trimmed with "fire truck red". The flower girl's dress matched Michelle's perfectly and the bridesmaids' dresses were red and strapless with matching heels. The men wore black jeans and boots with their formal jackets which were much more comfortable than the traditional pants and shoes. The red theme was a tribute to Jared's job as a Wichita Firefighter. Even Michelle's garters had WFD charms attached. I almost forgot, they had the most original cake topper we've ever seen - a firefighter carrying his beautiful bride. Just like Jared & Michelle!

The ceremony went off without a hitch. After the receiving line, the couple made their way through all the bubbles to the antique fire truck Jared rented for them to ride off into the sunset in. Well, it wasn't actually the sunset yet, but they did head to the reception at the old white barn in Clonmel for the cowboy inspired reception. Michelle put so much effort into all the decorations, they were incredible. The decorations included cowboy boot glasses, bandanas, gold & silver coins, covered wagons, votive holders with "gold nuggets" and small burlap bags full of treasures (including Hershey's "love" kisses and miniature sized playing cards).

After the dance, bouquet toss and garter toss, we headed outside with Jared & Michelle to capture a beautiful Kansas sunset- despite the wind! It was a great day for a wedding with a terrific couple. Jared & Michelle, we wish you all the best - it was a pleasure working with you guys!
